David Vaughan is confident Sunderland are beginning to form an understanding with new boy Nicklas Bendtner.
The Dane had enjoyed just two days of training with his new team-mates when he made his Black Cats debut against Chelsea two weeks ago.
But the benefits of a week at the Academy of Light were evident in last weekend’s victory over Stoke City as on-loan Arsenal frontman Bendtner led the line with some aplomb.
“Obviously, he’s settling in and getting to know the lads and finding out how they play. When you get to know people, you make runs off people and you know what they’re going to do. But he’s done really well since he’s come in. He holds the ball up well, he’s got great feet and hopefully he can get a few goals for us", Vaughan told Sunderland Echo.
